Trip Preparation

We are going  on a trip heading south tomorrow. Portland, McMinnville Flight Museum and the Oregon Coast are on the agenda.
Preparations are being made. Packing clothes, stocking the cabinets with dry goods.  Now its getting to the fine details of making sure we have all the electronic apparatus on board for keeping our gadgets charged. And of course I need to make sure I have just the right arts and crafts supplies I need.
Yesterday we got a new radio/CD player with the capability for blue tooth and  a USB port for plugging in my phone so we can listen to stuff via itunes. It sounds great.

Introduction to Sleeping Beauty's Travels

Sleeping Beauty's Travels is a blog about the trips we make with our motor home.  We decided to name it Sleeping Beauty because it was "sleeping" for a long time before we brought it back to life. 

Last October (2013) we bought this 1990 Jamboree Searcher via Craigslist. It only had 17k miles on it and the inside was like new. It had pots and pans in it and few other extras. 

After a good tune up, and some serious freshening up and this beauty was almost as good as new. The people who owned it previously took very good care of it, and probably not very often.

We have had this now for nearly a year and we like it more and more each time we take a trip.

Unfortunately, it took me until now (nearly a year later) to get the idea to start a blog on this, so I will be posting a few blogs about past trips over the next few weeks.
